Pencil pleat
This stiffened tape is available in several depths from 6 cm to 15 cm. Some tapes have three rows of pockets for hooks, to allow you to adjust where the curtain heading falls in relation to the pole - the top row to hang below a pole, the lower row to make the heading stand up to conceal a track for instance.
Pencil pleat is the most cost effective way to make curtains, and allows you to adjust the width of curtains to a degree, so that they will suit a variety of windows widths.

Wave Heading
A modern, less formal heading tape that creates simple waves in the heading, but keeps the fabric taught. Ideal for stripes and geometric patterns as it doesn’t distort the pattern by gathering the fabric.
This heading requires twice the amount of rings on the pole, but is still a cost effective way of producing a very clean contemproary look.
Pinch pleat
A very elegant heading for longer lengths curtains in particular. Choose from double or triple pleats, they both encourage the curtains to hang in simple columns so they stack back from the windows very neatly.
These curtains are hand finished, and can have buttons or trims added to the top pleats to add an additional feature.
Eyelet Headings
These are ideal for a contemporary minimalistic look, a pole is threaded through eyelets that are inserted close to the top edge creating deep folds.
Suitable for light to medium weight fabrics, particularly with a stripe or geometric pattern, they stack back neatly at the side of windows to let in the maximum amount of light.
